I love God. I love music. Simple but true – and I want my life to be infused with both. My true passion is to worship my Lord Jesus with the talents He has given me, and as I look at my life I realize I have been given many such opportunities.
My musical experiences began as a young girl when my family would sing at various churches in our area. I’ll be honest…I didn’t love it. However, I can’t help thinking that doing those programs helped jumpstart the love of music in my heart.
Since those early days I have been blessed with a number of opportunities that I’m very thankful for.
Over the last several years I have been a part of various choirs and other singing groups and have had the chance to travel to Norway as well as many states across the U.S. Despite all of those opportunities, the greatest blessing of all has been being a part of the worship team at my home church. It has been there that I have truly realized what singing “for the glory of His name” really is all about.
Psalm 147:1 says,
“Praise the Lord. How good it is to sing praises to our God, how pleasant and fitting to praise Him!"
That is what I want my life to be.
