Many of the songs performed by Sweetwater Revival are songs written by Cathie Paxson. Cathie also happens to be the mother of Katie Paxson Paull (alto and founder of the group Sweetwater Revival). Cathie is passionate about gospel music because as she says, "It expresses what is really important to me." She goes on to say, "I have often asked myself why certain songs move us to emotion? Why do we yearn for music in our lives?
I believe God created this desire deep within our soul. When my daughter Katie was little she used to make up songs and sing them to Jesus. I remember listening at her door and her words brought tears to my eyes. I could feel the innocence and pure love for the Lord in those songs... simple yet so meaningful. We seem to lose this along the way sometimes... just like the gospel... so simple even a child can understand. I pray the Lord will help us rekindle that child-like love for Him and may His sweet water fill us up to overflowing."
-Blessings to each of you!

"Minnesota Glory Basketball" is taken from I Cor. 10:31 which states, "Whatever you do in word or deed, do it all for the glory of God." Check out their web site at www.glorybasketball.com. Cathie states, "Never give up your God-given creativity. When you are discouraged, pray for a new song to sing. Let God use you in new and exciting ways. Most of all if you don't know Jesus in a personal way, take a moment and ask Him to forgive your sins and to come into your heart and live. He can make you a brand new person. He loves you and desires to have a personal friendship with you."
"...my soul thirsteth for Thee... in a dry and thirsty land where there is no water." Psalm 63:1
